Valentine Supper February 15, 2003

It was bitter cold day in Harvey, but not in the banquet room at the Lodge on Saturday.  43 couples gather around the Lodge meeting old acquaintances & new ones.

Wayne Chan (Fox) & Edith were busy many hours prior to 5:00 p.m. along with other officers.  A six course meal was prepared this year with no shortage.

Wayne was given a change in his last name, we decided to call him Wayne Chan.

The same rule applied this year with all the officers working as waiters.  Of course you have to tell some stories while waiting for plates to hand out by looking at Trent.

After the meal Peter Wood & Trent MacLean started the bidding on some fine craftsmanship donated by members of Cherry Mountain and locals.

First item at the left was a Welcome to our shack made by W.Bro. Earl Moffitt.  Other items were a framed mirror by W.Bro. Trent MacLean.  Bobsled by Bro. Laurie Messer & Jack Goode, plus there were other fine items that went for good prices.  Over $900.00 was raised in the Auction.

We had to have a picture of our newest Steward washing the dishes.  Jayson wife (Krista) did not know he could use the dish rag.  I guess there is no secrets now.

This was the second Valentine's supper which turnout to be another success.  Everybody had good comments, a good night had by all!
