Sweetheart's Night 2004
February 14th was certainly a success at Cherry Mountain Lodge. 50 couples turned up at the 3rd Annual Sweetheart's night. This event originated from an idea of W.Bro. Wayne Fox, and has become an annual event since. J.W. W.Bro. Trent MacLean was the organizer this year.
A well balanced 4 course meal was on the menu having only masons preparing and serving the meal, of course there was help from the wives.
Every girl received a rose plus there was a bottle of wine accompany the meal, Richelle Corey received the door prize.
After the meal, W.Bro. Peter Wood (auctioneer) sold items above prices that would sell in any store. The biggest bid was however 40 hours of work donated by 4 lodge members including carpenters, plumber and electrician made by O.B. MacLean. This bid went for $500.00.
Later, W.Bro. Richard Corey brought a great source of entertainment, how is your luck on betting on the race! This race attracts many to the board, and provided laughter and fun.
Now, because of me helping out in the kitchen, I neglected to take some pictures. But I manage to take a picture of a couple having their 49th anniversary. Happy anniversary Bud!
