Grand Master Visit/April 2002

April 11, 2002 turned out to be a one of the best meetings Wor.Bro. Keith Moffitt has chaired so far this year.  Besides the officers, there were 20 members of Cherry Mountain Lodge #50 plus fifty or more brethren  from lodges abroad filling all the chairs around the lodge, some as far away as Moncton, Perth Andover and St. Stephen.

Most Worshipful the Grand Master Bro. R. Wayne Hitchcock was received in fine style.  W.M. gave his itinerary for the year to the G.M. which was greatly acknowledged.

After the business part, Wor.Bro. Earl Moffitt gave a bit of the lodge history; when the new hall was being built, also about himself, when he joined, taking his degrees etc...

Bro. Travis Williams was conducted to the east to receive his Fifty year Certificate, Pin, and Life Membership Certificate. Both the W.M. and the G.M. made the presentation

Prior to closing, the G.M. & Rt.Wor.Bros. Charlie Bruce, Harold Planetta and Gordon Rattray laid out the programs that they are putting together to help lodges in training officers to have better meetings, attract new members and ways to keep brethren coming back!.  The G.M. finished up with an outline of his five year plan to be put in place for future ages.

To learn more about these programs visit Grand Lodge for pages upon pages of useful information from Rt.Wor.Bro. Bill Boone who has done an outstanding job in creating & maintaining the Web site.
